Bournemouth v Sunderland live: score, updates and line-ups

Full time at the Vitality: Bournemouth 2-0 Sunderland, a comfortable and deserved win against ten men. Tavernier's early header and Evanilson's clinical finish just after the break did the damage, with Danso's 17th-minute red card for Sunderland effectively settling the contest long before the end. The Cherries dominated throughout, racking up 29 shots to Sunderland's 3, though Roefs' four saves kept the scoreline from ballooning further. Kluivert and Rodríguez both went close late on, but two was enough for a routine home victory.

Bournemouth have eased off the gas slightly but remain firmly in control, making a double change as Adli and Álvaro Rodríguez replace Tavernier and Evanilson. Sunderland have had a rare sight of goal through Hume and Le Fée, both off target, while Adli also fired wide at the other end - but with the shot count now 25-3 and Sunderland still yet to test Petrovic, the ten men look set to see out a heavy defeat.

Bournemouth have kept their foot down against the ten men, with Tavernier and Rayan both forcing good saves from Roefs around the hour mark and Christie heading just over from a corner. Kluivert has been sent on for the booked Cook, and Evanilson almost had his second when his effort drifted narrowly wide at 69'. Sunderland's reshuffle with Diarra and O'Nien hasn't changed the pattern - they're still without a shot on target as the Cherries dominate possession and territory.

Evanilson doubles his involvement for the night, turning home a left-footed finish from the centre of the box just three minutes after the restart to make it 2-0. Sunderland are being completely overrun with ten men, still without a shot on target as Bournemouth push for more.

That's half time at the Vitality, with Bournemouth 1-0 up against ten-man Sunderland thanks to Tavernier's early header. The Cherries have dominated with 64% possession and a staggering 13-1 shots tally since Danso's red card, but Roefs has kept the deficit at just one with some smart stops. Cook's late booking for Bournemouth is a minor blot, but otherwise this has been one-way traffic in south coast.

Bournemouth have piled on the pressure against ten-man Sunderland before the break, with Rayan a constant threat - denied twice by Roefs and dragging another effort over. Possession has climbed to nearly 64% and the shot count now reads 12-1, with the Cherries forcing four corners in this spell alone as they search for a second before half-time.

Huge moment at the Vitality! Danso's foul on Evanilson sees him sent off, leaving Sunderland down to ten men already and facing an uphill battle to get back into this one at 1-0 down.

Bournemouth have continued to edge things since the goal, regaining the possession share and holding a 3-1 advantage in shots. Sunderland's best moment came when Danso headed just wide from a Xhaka free-kick, but otherwise it's the Cherries dictating the tempo as they protect their lead.

Bournemouth are flying early at the Vitality! Tavernier gets up well to head home from the centre of the box after Evanilson's clever assist, and the Cherries lead after a bright start that's already yielded three shots.
